1966 Sunbeam Alpine

Try and think of an English two seater open top sports car from the 1960’s and you will instantly think MGB but look beyond the obvious and you will find the prettier and often overlooked Sunbeam Alpine.

The Alpine was launched way before the MGB and is a smoother, sleeker, and a more refined option, even if it always lived in the shadows of the MGB.

Produced by the Roote’s Group, the Alpine is a charming convertible car.  This Alpine is a New Zealand new car fitted with factory hardtop, 1725cc, 4 Cylinder engine, 100hp with 4 speed manual gearbox, twin Stromberg carbs, independent front and live rear axle, front disc brakes and rear drums and factory alloys. This gives a sporty drive with a fantastic soundtrack from a time when the first hand held calculator was invented (1967).

This practical classic could be used as a daily driving classic or saved for those special Sunday drives into the countryside.

With a new battery fitted which has her running she is a fantastic project car that does require work and attention to underbody for rust compliance for wof.

Will be sold as is condition (unregistered). Inspections welcome.
